Kitchen & Bath Design

KOA House

The KOA House was designed for Charlotte's Housing Innovation Challenge, where I served as lead designer on a team tasked with designing and building two homes for under $300,000 total — all within state restrictions and local building codes.

The simplicity is intentional, not a limitation. Within that budget, I still found ways to bring in the kind of modern amenities and details you'd expect in a higher-end home.

The kitchen and bath spaces share a modular wet wall system that our team designed and developed from scratch, stacking plumbing and utility runs into a single core — a big part of how the project stayed on budget without sacrificing the finished feel.

This project reflects the full process, from early floor plans and section drawings through final material and fixture renderings — planning the layout, working out utility and plumbing runs, and refining the finished look room by room.

Isam Perez — Designer

Funi Design is a kitchen & bath design studio based in Provo, UT.

I started it with the idea to restore character back into homes, creating spaces that feel alive rather than following trends. My background in construction and design allows me to create spaces that are thoughtfully designed yet practical.

My work draws inspiration from traditional architecture, natural materials, and honest craftsmanship. I approach every project with the belief that good design should improve daily life while reflecting the story of its owners.
